Here’s your chance to join! Effective immediately, we’re looking for a (Senior) Data Engineer (all genders) to become part of our Data Engineering team at our Headquarters in Berlin. It will be a permanent full-time position.
Your gig:
- Your main responsibility is to develop our organization maturity, our department, and the Data Engineering teammates
- You work to build strong relationships with your team, manager, as well as relevant business stakeholders, mainly our local marketing department
- You design data systems in an international cooperation and at scale
- You develop data systems mainly based on Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, and Composer
- You raise the data system operation quality bar, establish standards, and introduce best practices
- You use your expertise to think ahead, understand needs, priorities and urgencies as well as potential challenges to manage expectations of your team and stakeholders and to deliver accordingly
- You are an active contributor to our culture, to Beats & Bytes’ community, and to our ways of working by sharing your knowledge, e.g., in the form of training, presentations, or workshops, which you prepare yourself
- You are an active member of the Data Community of Practice and maintain a steady exchange with the international IT and Business Analysts
We are keen to jam with you if you:
- Hold a degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a similar field, or were able to acquire the required knowledge through relevant work experience
- You have 4-year experience as a Data Engineer and are skilled in Python and SQL, and possess domain knowledge in Marketing
- You are equipped with profound knowledge in data governance, data warehousing, and data processing
- You are familiar with the following tech stack: Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, BigQuery cloud data warehouse, Composer
- You’ve already worked successfully within a platform team
- You feel confident and natural reading, writing, and speaking English and can communicate efficiently in tech as well as business-related contexts; German skills are a plus but the willingness is to learn the language is a must
