Here’s your chance to join! Effective immediately, we’re looking for a Label Manager (all genders) to join us at our Virgin Music Group team in Berlin (hybrid working). It will be a permanent full-time position
Your gig:
- Manage the day-to-day relationships with assigned label partners, acting as the primary point of contact to the label and internally representing their labels' interests
- Liaise with all internal departments including commercial, marketing, catalog, video, operations, production, physical, analytics, finance and legal to ensure all label partners' business needs are met
- Manage label partners' priority release campaign logistics from inception through to analysis, working with other internal departments as necessary
- In collaboration with the Commercial Strategy Team, create and coordinate effective marketing strategies to drive conversations with DSPs and engage retail marketing partnerships such as in-store activities, signing sessions, and exclusive format placements
- Advise label partners on release strategy, positioning, best practices and opportunities across physical and digital channels
- Assist in the distribution of sales notes, regular updates, marketing materials to help campaign visibility.
- Implement Best Practices across all release campaigns and comfortably use internal and external data sources and help create action plans from the results where necessary
We are keen to jam with you if you:
- Have several years’ experience in music distribution, label management, or project management (covering both physical and digital releases)
- Bring a strong understanding of physical (CD, Vinyl) and digital music distribution, including marketing, operations, and metadata requirements
- Are confident working with data and technology, with the ability to translate insights into strategies and communicate results to partners
- Existing network in the independent music industry and/or digital platforms is a plus
- Feel confident reading, writing, and speaking English and German (both languages at least C1 level)

- Excellent organizational and project management skills with strong attention to detail
- Highly effective communicator, skilled in presentations (oral & visual) and stakeholder management
- Problem solver, calm under pressure, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
